Eurasian Milfoil Update 2014
The second milfoil survey was conducted on July 26th and 3 small plants were identified on the west end of Kimble. These plants were promptly treated.
The first lake survey was conducted on June 16th and no milfoil plants were identified.

Eurasian Milfoil Update 2011
The first full lake survey of Kimble Lake for the 2011 summer season was recently completed by Central Minnesota Aquatics. The survey was not done until recently because of the unfavorable weather for conducting the survey. The only place that Eurasian Milfoil was found was in the creek to Ossie on the south side of the Roberg’s boat slips. Central Minnesota Aquatics very carefully checked the lake between the Maas and Schramm properties. A sample of weeds that was thought to be Eurasian Milfoil was collected in this area. Fortunately the weed samples turned out to be native vegetation.
Central Minnesota Aquatics [CMA] will be treating the infestation with Navigate as soon as they receive the permit from the DNR. We usually use a product called Renovate. CMA believed that Navigate would be more effective treatment solution in this area. The Kimble Lake Improvement District Board has authorized the use of Navigate for this treatment.
The Roberg’s had completed their authorization to treat form, which helps facilitate a quick response to treating the infestation. Your LID Board appreciates having these forms completed in advance. It saves board members the inconvenience of having to track down property owners in the event that milfoil is discovered in front of their property.
Best wishes for a great summer without the nuisance of Eurasian Milfoil in Kimble Lake.
